Porto San Paolo, which is part of the larger municipality of Loiri-Porto San Paolo, is an active center on the Gallura coast.
Equipped with all the main services and a modern tourist port, it has 15,000 visitors in the summer.
Here the legend says that in Antiquity the apostle Paul stopped over, before retiring to a hermitage in the deepest Gallura.
Our coastal area, of great landscape and environmental value, is located in the marine area of Capo Coda Cavallo. The symbol of the coast is Cala Ghjlgolu, which shines with turquoise sea, ocher-colored sand and, above all, with the famous turtle-shaped granite rock – one of the most photographed rocks in Sardinia - the result of millennial erosion by atmospheric agents.
Furthermore, from Porto San Paolo it is possible to reach the wonders of the imposing Tavolara and the smaller islands of Molara, Molarotto, Piana and dei Cavalli, which can be reached with daily connections.
